From getting ready at the beautiful Margaritaville Beach Resort to their heartfelt ceremony at Smathers Beach and a festive reception under the tiki hut, every moment was filled with love, joy, and the kind of magic only the Florida Keys can offer.
Getting Ready at Margaritaville Beach Resort
Our day with Jennifer and Bill began at the stunning Margaritaville Beach Resort in the heart of Key West. This venue offers a perfect blend of luxury and laid-back island charm, making it an ideal choice for couples looking to celebrate in style. Jennifer’s suite was bustling with excitement as she got ready with her bridal party. Natural light poured through the windows, creating the perfect setting for capturing the intricate details of her gown, jewelry, and bouquet.
Meanwhile, Mark spent time with Bill and his groomsmen as they prepared for the day’s events. Margaritaville’s vibrant energy provided a great backdrop for candid moments and group shots of the guys sharing laughs and tying bow ties.
First Look and Family Photos
One of our favorite parts of the day was Jennifer and Bill’s first look. Nestled in a quiet garden area of the resort, the moment was intimate and emotional. Bill’s reaction to seeing Jennifer in her wedding dress for the first time was priceless, and we couldn’t help but feel the love between them as they embraced.
After their first look, we moved seamlessly into family photos. The lush greenery and coastal charm of Margaritaville made for an excellent setting to gather loved ones for timeless portraits. Everyone’s smiles and laughter added a warm and joyful vibe to these moments.
Ceremony at Smathers Beach
Just a short walk across the street from the resort, Smathers Beach set the stage for Jennifer and Bill’s ceremony. With soft sand underfoot and the ocean breeze in the air, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows as the sun began its descent. The beach’s golden-hour glow provided a dreamy atmosphere, and the natural beauty of the surroundings made their ceremony feel like a scene from a postcard.
Reception Under the Tiki Hut
The celebration continued back at Margaritaville’s tiki hut, where Jennifer and Bill’s reception was in full swing. The warm glow of string lights and the sounds of laughter and music set the tone for a night of fun and connection. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of dancing. Because their wedding took place over the summer, getting sunset photos meant sneaking away from the party for a little while to head back to the beach. We had the couple hop in the car to make a quick run back over to Smathers, while their guests continued to enjoy the festivities. The skies over Key West never disappoint, and this evening was no exception. The vibrant hues of the setting sun created a spectacular backdrop as we captured the newlyweds’ first moments together as husband and wife. These quiet moments, away from the hustle and bustle of the day, allowed Jennifer and Bill to soak in the significance of their wedding day.
