As the team you’ll spend the majority of your day with, so knowing you have reliable professionals with the right intuition, forethought, communication style, and that “don’t worry, we’ve got this” vibe is a value beyond what most couples think of.
YOUR TEAM
As you’ll find in Our Story, Karrie has spent over two decades as a photographer, based in Tampa, Nashville, and eventually Key West, where she has resided since 2010. Her work with top photographers in fashion, commercial and sports, her degrees in Photography and Fine Art, and her recognition through awards, publications, and speaking opportunities means that you’re in good hands. And with a level of patience derived from a lifetime as an avid equestrian and amateur woodworker (of all things!?), there’s nothing you can throw at her that will throw her off her game.
Mark joined the industry after 20 years as a flight medic. Drawn to the both creative and technical nature of the work, he honed his craft through extensive travel shooting with other top wedding photographers when he and Karrie began working together, combining their skills. Mark’s creative compositions bring a unique perspective to each moment, and his calm demeanor is a welcome balance to the inevitable nerves and anticipation of an eventful wedding day.

We see ourselves as creative directors, letting the moment unfold naturally where it should, then adding unobtrusive adjustments or being ready with an alternate solution, if needed.
Telling a sumptuous visual story does not happen by accident, which is where our conversational light-handed approach to direction and posing can polish the raw moments and add a layer of finish and poise to those that were pre-planned.

THE JOURNEY
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
We love learning more about our couples, gaining insight into your backstory, what you love, elements of the wedding you’re most excited about, and anything we can do to mitigate any worries. Understanding your perspective from an early stage also enables us to cater our coverage and approach to your needs.
TIMELINE COLLABORATION
As the date approaches, we remain in contact with your planner and other wedding pros as needed to ensure your priorities for your photography align with the flow and schedule of the day. We have long standing relationships with top vendors, allowing us to navigate the nuances of wedding day timelines without you having to worry about a thing.
STORYBOARDING SESSION
While most of the day is documented serendipitously, storyboarding allows us to dream up and plan for those artistic images that take a little bit of forethought. Want to sneak away at sunset to get that ethereal afterglow? Did the epic staircase in your venue catch your eye ? Do you have a special surprise planned (fireworks, flash mob, etc)? Where the timeline will indicate that these things are happening, it’s during the storyboarding session that we’ll plan the vision for how they will be captured.
PRE-WEDDING SHOOTS
If the lead-up to your big day will include a Destination Engagement or Pre-Wedding Portrait session, if we’ll be privy to the festivities of the Bachelor/Bachelorette Weekend, or if you’ll be greeting guests with a Welcome Party, Sunset Cruise, or Rehearsal Dinner, we will not only capture those images as part of your full story, but also use it as an opportunity to get you comfortable in front of the camera, as well as meet your family and wedding party.
THE BIG DAY!
The wedding day has finally arrived! We arrive bright and shiny, hydrated and well-rested, on site ahead of schedule, dressed professionally, gear cleaned and charged, and ready to roll. We will check in with your planner and other vendors upon arrival, come in and greet everyone, and get started. We keep an eye on the timeline, making it a point to gently keep everyone on time as we capture the story from start to finish. All you have to do is relax, breathe, soak it all in, and enjoy this momentous occasion with your friends and family.
EDITING & DELIVERY
With the excitement of the event coming to a close, the behind-the-scenes work begins. We carefully go through all the raw files we both captured, culling out any obvious duds (eyes are closed, flash didn’t fire, missed focus, etc), narrowing down between duplicates, and generally curating a complete story with the best overall images while also representing each moment from a variety of angles and expressions. The images are then edited to our strict specifications for color, exposure, and composition, and select images will receive a light touch up for minor blemishes before being delivered to you!

Your wedding day is documented with artful aplomb, allowing the natural moments to blend seamlessly with directed interactions. We will be there to capture the warmth of both your loved ones’s smiles, and the kiss of the sunshine in beautiful Key West.
Whether you’re celebrating a last-minute elopement on the beach, an intimate ceremony in a tropical garden, setting sail on an afternoon sunset cruise, or hosting an all-day event in one of the destinations’ most luxurious resorts, our work ensures you can be present in the moments and then relive them for a lifetime.
We custom design your Wedding Photography collection based on your unique needs, based simply on a minimum for your particular Date and Location (specifics are then tailored to your vision). One constant, however, is our collaboration and storyboarding, coverage by Karrie and Mark, professionally-edited photos, and a tangible heirloom keepsake are included.

One of our favorite aspects of being part of your wedding, is getting to capture the additional milestones and events associated with it. These shoots allow us to explore additional creative ideas and locales, produce memories that are completely unique to the wedding day, and to meet your family and friends who we will be working with on the big day as well.
Whether your destination or ours, these photos are casual, lighthearted, and possibly a little more daring than normal. One thing is for sure; the options abound and like everything we do for you, will be customized to your needs.
